The knowledge section of the KSAs is often the most complicated for facilitators to address at first. In order to facilitate, the facilitator will often have to learn more than the child, at least at first.
To help with this process, we start by examining the personal skills and awareness kids need to take into account including body and space awareness, health and nutrition, and safety. As well we will talk about cooperation and game concepts that make playing games more challenging. It is important for the facilitator to provide the same opportunities for everyone in a program to challenge themselves, have fun and maintain a safe and secure environment.
Finally we look at more technical issues like the anatomy of a sport wheelchair and its maintenance.
